This giclée print is a reproduction of my gouache painting ‘Marmalade Season’
‘I got the blues thinking of the future, so I left off and made some marmalade. It’s amazing how it cheers one up to shred oranges or scrub the floor.’ DH Lawrence to AW McLeod, 17 January 1913.
I came across this reading Lawrence’s letters, and immediately wanted to do a marmalade making painting. Such a cheerful, glowing subject to combat the grey of February, and a salutary reminder that housework can be good for the soul.
Printed in the UK on archival quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper with archival pigment inks.
Includes a 15mm border for easy framing.
Orders will ship within 7 working days of purchase, sealed in a flat, rigid envelope.
