This giclée print is a reproduction of my gouache painting ‘Dawn Treader’
Inspired mainly by the joy of reading Doris Lessing’s autobiography. I love how she went back to bed for a few minutes after packing her son off to school, to subdue ‘the feverish need to get this or that done’; then constantly meandered around her home all day, doing chores as she wrote in her head. ‘You’d think I was a paragon of concern for housekeeping if you judged by what you saw’. So fascinating, to hear about the close texture of people’s day to day – the details that make up so much of who we are, and which often inspire my work.
Printed in the UK on archival quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper with archival pigment inks.
Includes a 15mm border for easy framing.
